Peter Pan is a character created by Scottish novelist and playwright J. M. Barrie. A mischievous boy who can fly and who never ages, Peter Pan spends his never-ending childhood adventuring on the small island of Neverland as the leader of his gang, the Lost Boys, interacting with mermaids, Native Americans, fairies, pirates, and occasionally ordinary children from the world outside of Neverland.
Barrie never described Peter's appearance in detail leaving much of it to the imagination of the reader and the interpretation of anyone adapting the character. Our production will combine the romantic side of the character with all the youthful ups and downs of life as an early teenager creating a very imaginative but accessible and believable character. The language in the production will be very simple. The production will be very visual and supported by live music sung and played by the actors themselves. It is recommended for persons between the ages of 9 and 99. Peter Pan is a story with action, adventure and drama that fills a framework of fantasy and humour; a perfect recipe for the theatre. Tour de Force Theatre Company integrates movement, mime, text, music and song to bring this classic tale to the stage in a new and highly visual stage adaptation, performed in English, of course...
We are dedicated to the belief that HOW we tell a great story, is as important as WHAT we are telling. Barry Goldman (director)
